UNPAID TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS AND OTHER MUNICIPAL LIENS

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT I, CHRISTINE A. SIERFELD, Collector of Taxes of the Taxing District of the Borough of Lavallette, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, will at 11:00 am on November 15, 2017 expose for sale the several parcels of land herein after specified to make the amount chargeable against said lands respectively to said date, as computed in the list together with interest and costs to the date of sale.The sale will take place at the Lavallette Borough Hall, 2 nd Floor,

Said Properties will be sold in fee to such person as will purchase the same subject to redemption at the lowest rate of interest, but in no case in excess of 18% per annum.The payment of sale shall be made before the conclusion of the sale or the property will immediately be resold.

Industrial Properties may be subject to the Spill Compensation and Control Act (N.J.S.A. 58:10-23.11 et seq.), the Water Pollution Control Act (N.J.S.A. 13:1K-6 et seq.) and the Industrial Site Recovery Act.(N.J.S.A. 13:1K-6 et seq.)In addition, the municipality is precluded from issuing a tax sale certificate to any prospective purchaser who is or may be in anyway connected to the prior owner or operator of the site.

CASH, CASHIERS CHECKS OR PRE-ARRANGED WIRE TRANSFERS ONLY WILL BE ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT.Any parcel of real property for which there shall be no other purchaser will be struck off and sold to the Borough of Lavallette in fee for redemption at 18% per annum and the municipality shall have the same remedies and rights as other purchasers, including the right to bar or foreclose the right of redemption.The sale is made pursuant to Chapter 5 Title 54 of the Revised Statutes of the State ofas amended.

AT ANY TIME BEFORE THIS, THE UNDERSIGNED WILL RECEIVE PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNT DUE ON ANY PROPERTY ADVERTISED WITH INTEREST AND COSTS INCURRED UP TO THE TIME OF PAYMENT.

Please be advised that the reconstruction ofand a portion of(ocean block) will be commencing on October 2, 2017. The work involved will consist of the removal/replacement of concrete curb, driveway aprons where necessary; pavement reconstruction including varying depth milling; gravel base course: Hot mix asphalt base and surface course; shoulder restoration including all work necessary and incidental thereto.

All work is to be completed within 30 calendar days of October 2nd commencement date. You will receive a notice from the contractor approximately 48 hours prior to the commencement of the work. If you have a tenant in your home, please advise them accordingly.

The Municipal Building is fully operational. The Lavallette Police Department , Lavallette Municipal Offices , Building Department , Municipal Court and Beach Badge Office are in the New Municipal Building. The Police Department is open 24 hours. Administration 8am to 4pm, Building and Court are open for business 9am-3pm. We are now joined by the Lavallette Post Office with hours from 8:30am-12pm and 12:30pm to 4pm with 24 hour access to post office boxes.

If the estimated or actual usage is in excess of 72,000 gallons per year, the number of units shall be determined by dividing the actual or estimated usage by 72,000 gallons and the number of units shall be a quotient thereof rounded to the next highest whole number.
IF BILL NOT PAID BY DUE DATE, INTEREST AT 18% PER ANNUM. DISREGARD BALANCE FORWARD IF PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE. SERVICES IN ARREARS OVER 30 DAYS ARE SUBJECT TO TERMINATION.
